Grzegorz Karpiński
Lawyer and politician. Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 6th and 7th terms. He was born on August 4, 1976 in Chełmno. He graduated from the 1st Secondary School in Toruń. He studied law at the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
In 2005, he obtained the title of legal advisor. He specializes in administrative and constitutional law. In 1998, he became one of the youngest councilors in the history of Toruń. He was elected to the city council twice.
Since 2007, he has been associated with the Civic Platform. During his first term in the Sejm, he sat on the Legislative Committee and the Justice and Human Rights Committee, as well as on the investigative committee for investigating the correctness of the actions of government administration bodies in the case of the abduction and murder of Krzysztof Olewnik.
In 2011, he was appointed deputy minister of sport and tourism in the second government of Donald Tusk. From January 2014, as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, he was responsible for supervision over the Police, the Government Protection Bureau, as well as the budget and legislation.
In recent years, he worked at the Warsaw City Hall and served as vice-president of Spa Ciechocinek SA. He is married and has a daughter.
