The relations between Poland and the United States are the most active in recent history, as both countries share common values, interests and assessments of the existing threats.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk's meeting with Antony Blinken focused on security issues and Polish-American partnership, as well as the war in Ukraine. Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski also talked with the US Secretary of State.

“I believe that our cooperation in support of Kyiv will continue and will contribute to ending Russian aggression as soon as possible, taking into account the perspective of the attacked Ukraine,”

the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs noted.

The talks between Poland and the United States also covered the defence partnership, as Poland is overhauling its military with equipment sourced from the United States, including the F-35 fighters, Apache helicopters, Abrams tanks, as well as HIMARS and Patriot systems.

In addition to growing political cooperation with Poland, the United States is also strengthening its partnership with our country in other areas, including energy, trade and technological exchange.

Antony Blinken thanked Poland for defending democracy wherever it is threatened. Poland is also a key part of the alliance that formed following Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

“80% of all military aid to Ukraine passes through Poland, which still hosts more than a million Ukrainian refugees. This is a huge display of generosity,”

the US Secretary of State noted.
