Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a joint statement, reaffirming the strategic partnership between Poland and Ukraine and expressing support for Ukraine's EU membership. The visit of the Ukrainian President took place at the outset of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union.
