A ceremony was held in front of the Prime Minister's Office to unveil a monument to an outstanding man – Prime Minister Jan Olszewski, who stood for a strong, independent Poland. We owe joining NATO and the European Union to him, because he blazed the right trail. The ideas and deeds that guided Jan Olszewski are particularly relevant today, with the war going on across our eastern border. The Prime Minister expressed his thanks for the great life of Prime Minister Jan Olszewski, without whom Poland would not be the same.

Today, the Head of Government, on the eve of the 31st anniversary of the appointment of Prime Minister Olszewski's government, unveiled the monument in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. During the ceremony, he emphasised:
“It is not Prime Minister Jan Olszewski who needs this monument. It is us who need this monument to remember the ideas that Jan Olszewski lived by. To remember how important it is that we always stand on the side of good, on the side of truth, on the side of a sovereign Republic of Poland."
