Poland has returned to the path of rapid economic growth as one of the first countries in the European Union, says PM Morawiecki at Vision for Development Forum

“At the root of security must lie a strong economy. This will be the source of our strength, our security, which are much needed in today’s world”, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the opening of the 4th Vision for Development Forum. The two-day meeting is a discussion on the most important challenges facing the Polish economy, related to the broadly understood security, energy and maritime economy.
Prime Minister: Our economic growth has exceeded the pre-pandemic levels
The topics discussed at the Forum include such things as security, energy, small hydropower plants, maritime economy, as well as the preservation of local identity and development of local communities. Participation in the conference makes it possible to exchange business experiences and seek joint economic projects.
“Poland has returned to the path of rapid economic growth as one of the first countries in the European Union. By now, barely after the second quarter of this year, our economic growth has already exceeded the pre-pandemic levels. Our strategic plans are once again gaining momentum”, said Mr Morawiecki at the opening of the 4th Vision for Development Forum.
During his speech, the Prime Minister also emphasized that energy accumulated in the hearts of Poles, as well as their diligence and talents, will be the components of the success that Poles have deserved for a long time.
All Poles must benefit from economic growth
“All Poles must benefit from economic growth. It is not only a sense of justice but also a responsibility for the state. The idea of solidarity will be the hallmark of our economic policy”, said the Prime Minister. “Today, experiencing the crisis of the century, we have saved millions of jobs and maintained the social policy – the 500+, Good Start, and 13th pension programmes, as well as other structural investment initiatives. This is all thanks to the restoration of the public finance system”, he added.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the Polish economy hard, government assistance in the form of Financial Shields and other various programmes enable a rapid economic recovery to allow Poland to resume its dynamic development.
4th Vision for Development Forum
The Vision for Development Forum is a two-day meeting during which discussions are held on Polish economic development. Participation in the conference makes it possible to exchange business experiences and seek joint economic projects.
Accompanying this year’s edition of the Forum will be the 3W Congress event co-organised with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. The Rural Housewives’ Forum and Silver Economy Congress will also be returning, just like the increasingly popular Hackathon competition, which allows participants to bring their craziest ideas to life and present them before the event partners.
