Prime Minister Donald Tusk congratulated the Polish Olympians

Thank you for all the excitement! Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Sport and Tourism Sławomir Nitras met with athletes who returned to Poland after the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris. Polish athletes brought home a total of 10 Olympic medals: 1 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze. The Prime Minister thanked the athletes for representing Poland at the Games and congratulated them on their success.
From 26 July to 11 August 2024, the whole country followed the Games with a bated breath.
Aleksandra Mirosław won the gold medal in climbing.
Silver medals went to:
- Klaudia Zwolińska - women's K1 slalom canoe;
- Julia Szeremeta - women's boxing;
- Daria Pikulik - track cycling;
- Polish men's national volleyball team (Mateusz Bieniek, Bartłomiej Bołądź, Tomasz Fornal, Norbert Huber, Marcin Janusz, Łukasz Kaczmarek, Jakub Kochanowski, Bartosz Kurek, Wilfredo Leon Venero, Grzegorz Łomacz, Kamil Semeniuk, Aleksander Śliwka, Paweł Zatorski).
Bronze medals went to:
- The Polish women's fencing teams (Aleksandra Jarecka, Alicja Klasik, Renata Knapik-Miazga and Martyna Swatowska-Wenglarczyk);
- Coxed four team (Fabian Barański, Mateusz Biskup, Dominik Czaja and Mirosław Ziętarski);
- Iga Świątek - tennis;
- Natalia Kaczmarek - athletics;
- Aleksandra Kałucka - climbing.
