Viessmann's new investment in Poland

The foundation stone laying ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, marks the symbolic launch of the Viessmann Group's next investment in Poland.

"Viessmann has been present in Poland for decades. The cooperation is progressing very well. I know that the investment, which we are announcing here today, is a great investment that will guide the future development of this region – the Legnica region," said the head of government.

A new production plant will be built in the Legnica Special Economic Zone, where mainly heat pumps and their components will be manufactured.

"I am very pleased that Poland is becoming a centre of development of heat pumps, energy-saving technologies, the technology of highly-advanced innovative products intended to reduce electricity bills and ensure that what serves to protect the environment also serves to protect the wallets of Europeans and Poles," emphasised the Prime Minister.

New jobs in the Legnica region

The new factory in Legnica is expected to employ up to 3,000 people.

"Ultimately, as I have heard, it will be 3,000 jobs. This is excellent information for the residents of Legnica, the entire former Legnica voivodship, the Legnica sub-region, the entire Lower Silesia voivodship," declared the head of the government.

The new plant will be almost four times bigger than the current one. It will be built on a plot of over 17 ha, in the area of the former airport, which the company bought from the city.

"I am glad because Viessmann is famous for its very innovative products. This is something we place a great deal of emphasis on. Polish engineers, Polish technicians, vocational education, technical education will have adequate students so that they can later work, earn more and more, and educate their successors," added the Prime Minister.
