Belgium boosts presence on NATO’s eastern flank

After the Russian attack on Ukraine, the Belgian Prime Minister announced the deployment of 300 troops to Romania as part of NATO's efforts to reinforce its eastern flank. This is yet another NATO member to pledge such support. The US has also opted to deploy additional forces to the region.

Poles rally to support Ukrainians in time of need

Poland has been providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the very outbreak of the crisis. We offer support to war refugees and anyone else waiting to cross the Polish border. Aid is also being delivered into the territory of Ukraine itself. The EU Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) is setting up a logistical hub in Poland to manage aid provided by all Member States.

Helping Ukraine

Poland provides comprehensive logistical, operational, financial and humanitarian assistance to war refugees from Ukraine. Both state and local authorities, as well as thousands of Polish men and women, are involved in addressing the crisis.
This show of solidarity on the part of Polish people has already been recognised across the world. If you need help or would like to aid refugees yourself, please visit our dedicated website to learn more.
