14.07.2021
”We are proud of Polish agriculture. There are many new solutions for Polish farmers in the New Deal. We will present and implement them in the near future,” stressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during his visit to an agricultural holding in Marianowo Brodkowskie. One of the key changes includes the possibility for farmers to sell their products all over Poland. Such sales will be tax-free up to PLN 100,000.
Farmers to be able to sell their products tax-free up to PLN 100,000
During his address, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasised that the Polish Deal will bring better opportunities for farmers. One of the key changes is to enable agricultural retail trade:
”Agricultural retail trade is the first thing. As part of the Polish Deal, farmers will be able to sell their products tax-free up to PLN 100,000 in the entire country,” he stressed.
The government focuses on Polish products. It wants citizens to have easier access to local products and farmers to have a higher profit from their work.
Let’s buy Polish products
”As part of the Polish Deal, we bring better opportunities for farmers to sell Polish products. When buying food, over two-thirds of Poles check if it is Polish. This tendency keeps growing. I can say that Polish food is the healthiest, tastiest, and most organic,” emphasised the head of government.
Let us not forget that by buying Polish products, we support the Polish economy – entrepreneurs, farmers. Many of them are our family or friends. Their prosperity matters to us. Buying products labelled with POLISH PRODUCT is a form of support for millions of fellow citizens.
Higher profit for Polish farmers
”We are making efforts to shorten the path from the field to the table so that Polish farmers earn as much as possible. We are making similar efforts internationally as well,” pointed out Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, adding that ”our government – together with the Minister of Agriculture – will do everything to ensure that large sums of money from the state budget and the money negotiated with the European Union are used to increase the effectiveness of Polish agriculture even further so that it dominates Europe. This is our objective”. The Prime Minister also stressed that the government makes every effort to ensure that there are as many investors and investments on the Polish soil as possible. The solutions proposed by the government in the Polish Deal will contribute to a better quality of both farmers and all Poles.
Hard work of Polish farmers is important to Poles
Poland is home to numerous excellent farmers who constantly supply Poles and citizens of other countries with agricultural products. An example of a well-functioning agricultural holding is the Putz family holding in Marianowo Brodkowskie, which was visited by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki:
”We are in a remarkable holding run by the Putz family. It is a prime example of how you can manage a holding efficiently for generations. I would like to thank the owners for their genuine Polish patriotism”.
The Putz family agricultural holding in Marianowo Brodkowskie (Środa Wielkopolska County, Wielkopolskie Voivodeship) was established in 1979 by Tomasz Putz. His first purchase was an 11-hectare holding. Now, he runs an approx. 1,500-hectare holding, which spans two counties – Środa Wielkopolska County and Września County, where the owners are involved in soil cultivation and cattle breeding.
