New opportunities for Mazovia

- Radom has an opportunity for additional investment, attracting businesses and raising salaries, following the creation of new jobs - said the Prime Minister. He pointed out that the creation of this port makes great infrastructural and logistical sense, related not only to current needs, but also to the entire logical infrastructure architecture for the near future.

The Heroes of Radom's June 1976 Warsaw Radom Airport will contribute to the development of Radom and its surroundings. We want to make it easier for the residents of the surrounding voivodeships to get there, which is why we are developing the surrounding road network. Almost simultaneously, we will open a key section of the S7 Lesznowola-Tarczyn Południe expressway. This will shorten the time needed to reach the new airport.

The Warsaw-Radom Airport project responds to the needs of families. Parents with small children will find childcare rooms and play areas there. In addition, the airport terminal is adapted for the organisation of events such as exhibitions, concerts, lectures, competitions, film screenings and animations for children.

What does the new airport offer?

• Warsaw-Radom airport is the most modern airport in Poland. It combines the best practices and the highest safety standards in air transport.
• The airport is only 3 km away from the centre of Radom. It will make it  easier for the city's residents to access it.
• The building has an area of more than 30,000 m2. It will ensure passenger comfort and avoid crowding.
• For the benefit of passengers, restaurants, duty free shops and childcare facilities will be located in the terminal.
• Caring for the youngest, a multimedia entertainment and education centre will be arranged in the public area to show the secrets of flying and space travel.
• Special bus connections from Warsaw have been launched, thecourses of which will be adjusted to the flight network.
• In the second quarter, rail investments will be completed to allow trains on the Warsaw-Radom route to travel at a speed of 160 km/h, which will reduce journey times to even 1 hour and 16 minutes.
