Today, at the seat of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Henryk Kowalczyk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with Mr. Mykola Solskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The main topic of their talks were further improvements in the exports of Ukrainian agri-food products, particularly cereals, to third countries.

Today, at the seat of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik met with beef importers from Japan. The Japanese entrepreneurs are visiting Poland within the framework of the promotion programme “European Beef on Asian Markets” which is co-financed from the EU resources. The aim of the programme is to support European entrepreneurs in entering into business relationships with partners from Japan and Hong Kong.

The Secretary of State met with H.E. Lloyd Brodrick, Ambassador of Australia to Poland. The conversation concerned the possibility of developing bilateral cooperation in the agriculture and the negotiation of a free trade agreement between the European Union and Australia in the context of trade in agricultural goods.

Under-Secretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra attended the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting on 17 October 2022 in Luxembourg. The deliberations addressed both fisheries and agricultural issues.

Undersecretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra participated in the meeting of the Agriculture Ministers of the Visegrad Group countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) and Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovenia (GV4+4). Mr. Janusz Wojciechowski, EU Commissioner for Agriculture, also participated in the meeting.

Mr. Henryk Kowalczyk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, met with the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Poland.

On 26–27 September 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henryk Kowalczyk, visited Japan, where he represented the government at the funeral ceremony of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. The event was attended by 218 foreign delegations, including 35 heads of state.

On 26 September 2022 State Secretary Ryszard Bartosik attended the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels. The deliberations focused on both fisheries and agricultural issues.

State Secretary Ryszard Bartosik attended the 8th meeting of the Polish-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, which was held in Rzeszów on September 22.

The conference organised by the Agency for the Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR), which started today in Toruń, is attended by representatives from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, as well as Serbia, where ARiMR runs a twinnig project as its leader. The event was attended by State Secretary Ryszard Bartosik.
