The Polish Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 Dubai has been distinguished for the interior design of medium-sized pavilions. The award was granted by the World Exhibition Office - the intergovernmental organisation responsible for overseeing the organisation of World Exhibitions.

Participation in the Polish-African Economic Forum, meetings with the Nigerian Minister of Mines and Steel and the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, and a visit to the ecological city of Masdar City are other highlights of the stay of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak in the United Arab Emirates.

Visits to the national pavilions of Egypt, Nigeria and Ukraine, a meeting with students in the Polish Pavilion and a briefing with journalists at the Expo in Dubai - these are the highlights of the first day of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak's stay in the United Arab Emirates.

Poland enters the game as a potential user of LauncherOne, a technology for launching satellites into the Earth orbit. This is a step towards strengthening the defence system of our country and a development stimulus for the Polish industry. The Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak participated in the signing of a letter of intent between POLSA and Virgin Orbit on the introduction of the LauncherOne system in our country.

Strengthening cooperation between the space sector entities from Poland and the USA in order to increase the military security of our country is the main subject of talks between the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak and the representatives of the United States administration for international security.

I call for involving the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in the support for Ukraine. We need immediate humanitarian programmes for countries receiving the refugees. Our goal is to maintain and regularly increase the presence of American forces in our region and in the territory of Poland – said Minister Piotr Nowak during the meetings in Washington with the representatives of the American administration, international financial institutions and companies.

Today, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak, started his three-day visit to the United States. The objective of the talks with the representatives of the American administration, international financial institutions and companies will be to strengthen Polish-American economic cooperation, further American investments in Poland, with particular consideration given to innovative industries, including space technology. One of the more important subjects of the planned meetings will be humanitarian aid and support for Ukraine in the crisis caused by the Russian attack.

Citizens of Ukraine who legally stay in Poland will be able to pursue business activity in the territory of our country on the same terms as Polish citizens. The legislation in this matter has been prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

Attracting investments is a priority of the Polish economy. We expect a further inflow of American investments to Poland, in particular to innovative industries, and the development of cooperation in the fields of energy, low-carbon technology, information and space technologies and cybersecurity – said the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Piotr Nowak during the meeting with the representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.

Strengthening Polish-British economic cooperation, mutual investments, green technologies and innovative projects are the main subjects of the Polish-British Business Forum in Warsaw. The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Ministry Economic Development and Technology, Grzegorz Piechowiak.
