The development of the domestic photovoltaic equipment industry by building a new, innovative sector of the economy - the PV industry - and the participation of Polish companies in the mobilisation and consolidation of the domestic photovoltaic supply chain - this is the aim of the sectoral agreement which was signed on Thursday by Minister Piotr Nowak on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

Instructional videos and a toolkit for educating entrepreneurs in acquiring pro-entrepreneurial competencies, business planning skills and building resilience of companies to crisis situations were presented on Thursday at a conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

From the beginning of 2021 until the end of November, 470 investment decisions with a total value of 20 billion PLN have already been issued within the Polish Investment Zone with a simultaneous declaration to create 10,519 new jobs.

The OECD raised Poland's GDP growth forecast for 2021 to 5.3% and for 2022 to 5.2%. The organisation's previous estimates from May this year were 3.7% and 4.7% respectively. The economic revival in Poland will be driven by investments, and thanks to the good situation on the labour market, consumption will also increase - according to the latest OECD forecast.

Poland was admitted to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on 22 November 1996. This was a milestone on the road to systemic and structural changes in the Polish economy after our country regained its sovereignty. Today, exactly a quarter of a century after accession, the Warsaw Stock Exchange hosted a conference devoted to the balance of the 25th anniversary of Poland's presence in the OECD and the Organisation's role in the new post-pandemic reality. The event was attended by the Minister of Development and Technology Piotr Nowak, OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Marek Niedużak.

Minister of Economic Development and Technology Piotr Nowak met today with Ambassador of Kuwait Khalid Yateem Al-Fadhli and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Eman Ahmed Al-Salami. The talks focused on the possibility of intensifying mutual economic cooperation and took place on the eve of the upcoming Polish-Arab Economic Forum to be held in Dubai on December 6, 2021. It will be one of the most important economic events organised by Poland during the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition.
