National Reference Laboratory for Surface Water Quality
The main task of the National Reference Laboratory for Surface Water Quality is to provide oversight of the quality of surface water tests and analyses performed by the Central Research Laboratory and other monitoring entities, in particular by conducting tests and determinations of biological, water and sediment samples, creating, verifying and updating guides and guidelines for biological tests, organising inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency tests, standardising test methods and procedures and implementing new test methodologies.
