Міністри культури восьми європейських держав на Раді ЄС з питань освіти, молоді, культури та спорту (EYCS) у Люксембурзі висловили готовність призупинити будь-які культурні відносини з Російською Федерацією, які фінансуються на державному рівні. Вони також визнали, що членство Російської Федерації у всіх міжнародних і неурядових організаціях, що діють у сфері культури, необхідно призупинити. Крім того, вони виразили протест проти планів Російської Федерації організувати та головувати на 45-й сесії Комітету всесвітньої спадщини ЮНЕСКО та запропонували провести її в Парижі або іншій країні, яка входить до складу Комітету.

Представники восьми держав також висловили повне схвалення заборони використання цифрових платформ російськими державними ЗМІ та іншими ЗМІ, причетними до політики дезінформації щодо України. Водночас вони вказали, що російські та білоруські державні канали в Європі мають бути замінені українськими державними телеканалами.

The ministers of culture of eight European countries – Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Romania – called for the imposition of full sanctions against Russia in the area of culture in a joint position adopted on the initiative of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Professor Piotr Gliński.

During the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council (EYCS) in Luxembourg, the ministers of culture of eight European countries expressed their common position on their readiness to suspend all cultural relations with the Russian Federation carried out from public funds. They also expressed the opinion that the Russian Federation’s membership in all international and non-governmental organisations active in the field of culture should be suspended. In addition, they voiced their disapproval regarding the plans to organise and grant chairmanship over the 45^th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to the Russian Federation, and proposed for the session to be held in Paris or in another Committee member state.

The representatives of the eight countries also expressed their full approval of the ban on the use of digital platforms by Russian state media and other media involved in the disinformation policy towards Ukraine. At the same time, they indicated that Russian and Belarussian state channels in Europe should be replaced by Ukrainian state TV channels.
