The ceremony of presenting the credentials to the Head of State Tuimalealiʻifano Vaʻaletoa Sualauvi II took place on May 11, 2022. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and related travel restrictions, the ceremony was held in the form of a videoconference.

May 9 is Europe Day, a day when we remember that the foundations of the European Union were based on the ideas of peace in Europe. This year, however, we cannot experience it fully. The unjustified and unprovoked war on the part of Russia is an attack not only on Ukraine, not only on Europe, but the whole world.

High-Level International Donors' Conference for Ukraine - a conference of donors for Ukraine will be organised on 5 May 2022, by Poland and Sweden, in cooperation with the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council. The conference will be chaired by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Magdalena Andersson.

Michael Fowler Centre located in the centre of New Zealand's capital was lit up with red and white on the occasion of the Constitution Day, as part of Polish Heritage Days.

On Sunday, 1 May 2022, celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the first Polish settlers arrival to New Zealand were held at the modern interiors of Tūranga Christchurch Central Library. The event was organised by the Polish Communities in Christchurch, Poland's Honorary Consul Winsome Dormer with the support of the Polish Embassy in Wellington.
