Mrs Schwieters nee Rubisz, commonly known as Wisia, was a Polish child from Pahiatua, one of the founders of Auckland’s Polish Association, author, history enthusiast, advocate of Polish affairs in New Zealand and simply an outstanding representative of the Polish community in Auckland.
