Mariusz Smolij conducts an orchestra in Pretoria, South Africa

The world-famous Polish conductor, Mariusz Smolij, led the South African Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra during a concert at ZK Matthews Hall at UNISA University in Pretoria. The concert took place on April 6, 2024, with the participation of the wonderful South African saxophonist Karén Devroop and the respected vocalist Zita Pretorius. The event was hosted by the Director and Vice-Chancellor of UNISA University, Professor Puleng LenkaBula.
The concert was attended by representatives of the Polish Embassy in Pretoria, Ambassador Adam Burakowski and Consul Robert Rusiecki. The event aroused great interest and attracted many spectators.
Mariusz Smolij is one of the greatest conductors of his generation, leading orchestras in the United States and Europe.
