Polish conductor performs in South Africa

The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) Winter Symphony Season commenced on 1 of June. This year, the Season features a wide range of international soloists and conductors, one of whom is the internationally renowned Polish conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń.
Sułkowska-Migoń opened the JPO’s Winter Symphony Season last night and was conducting Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, K.550 in g minor, Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on Theme of Paganini, Op. 43 with bulgarian soloist Emanuil Ivanov, and Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, D.759 in b minor “Unfinished”.
The concert took place at the Wits Linder Auditorium w Johannesburg, with the audience of over a thousand music lovers.
The Polish conductor will also perform in Durban, on 4 and 5 June.
