Polish Sports Day 2024 in Pretoria

The annual Polish Sports Day took place at the Lynwood Tennis Club in Pretoria on May 5, 2024. The meeting was opened by Robert Rusiecki, Consul of the Republic of Poland, who gave an introductory speech and wished all participants a nice time. The event participants listened to the Polish national anthem.
The main competitions of the sport event was tennis. The teams of Johannesburg and Pretoria competed for Polonia Union Cup. After a fierce match, the team representing Johannesburg won. A sports bridge tournament was also held. Children's competitions included tennis, obstacle course, target throws and chess.
The meeting was organized by the Polish Union in Pretoria and the Polish School by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Pretoria. The event was sponsored by the Polish Embassy.
