Ambassador Buzalski accompanied Deputy Minister Przydacz at the 2nd European Union - African Union Ministerial Meeting in Kigali

On 25-26 October 2021, Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski accompanied Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz during his visit to Kigali for the 2nd European Union-African Union Ministerial Meeting, as well as in a number of bilateral meetings.
The purpose of the ministerial meeting, which resulted in the adoption of a joint communiqué, was to prepare the EU-AU summit in February next year. The communication agreed by the ministers takes into account Polish priorities and postulates corresponding to our approach to migration and economic cooperation with Africa.
Deputy Minister Przydacz also held a number of bilateral meetings, including with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda - which confirms the well-developing relations between our countries - as well as with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Togo and Botswana and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tanzania, as well as visiting a center for blind children in Kibeho, for many years co-financed under Polish aid.
During the ministerial meeting and bilateral talks, Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz focused not only on the problems faced by the African continent, but also on the challenges as well as the Polish economic offer. He mentioned he potential and importance for Poland of cooperation in sectors such as health care and network infrastructure, water management, energy, green technologies, digitization and the blue economy. Minister Przydacz also talked about cooperation in the field of education and investment. On the other hand, referring to the issue of migration, Deputy Minister Przydacz pointed out during his meetings also on instrumental use of migration by the Belarusian authorities.
During the visit to Rwanda, the Polish delegation also paid tribute to the victims of the genocide at the Genocide Memorial.
