19.11.2024We continue our efforts to protect the environment and promote entrepreneurship in the Kilombero Valley and the Udzungwa Mountains.Consul of the Republic of Poland, Wojciech Łysak, visited the site of a development project run by Southern Tanzania Elephant Program (STEP), with the support from the Polish Embassy in Dar es Salaam. The project’s primary objectives are to foster peaceful coexistence between humans and elephants in the Kilombero Valley and to enhance the livelihoods of local entrepreneurs. The initiative is funded by Polish Aid.

01.11.2024On the occasion of All Saints' Day we visited Polish cemeteries in TanzaniaTo mark All Saints' Day, the Embassy's chargée d'affairs a.i. Katarzyna Sobiecka and the Head of Administration and Finance Edgar Klusa laid flowers on the graves of compatriots at Kinondoni Cemetery in Dar es Salaam. The Consul of the Republic of Poland Wojciech Łysak visited the Polish necropolis in Ifunda near Iringa, and the Vice Consul Krystyna Fatyga visited the graves of Poles in Bigwa near Morogoro.

The meeting was an opportunity to read together the English-language edition of one of the most popular Polish comic books for children.

22.08.2024We continue supporting the albino community in TanzaniaHealth problems, lack of appropriate education and professional skills hindering them from gaining employment as well as social exclusion are still major challenges faced by people with albinism in Tanzania. The project ‘Better future for people with albinism in Tanzania’ financed by Polish Aid is primarily aimed at giving such persons equal chances of living a better life.

07.08.2024Opening of the World Esperanto Congress in Tanzania with the Participation of the Embassy RepresentativeThe World Esperanto Congress, held in Arusha from August 3-10 this year, brought together over seven hundred seventy Esperanto speakers from various parts of the world. The opening of this unique event, aimed at promoting international understanding and cultural exchange, was also attended by a representative of our mission – Deputy Consul Krystyna Fatyga.
