Ambassador Buzalski accompanied the delegation of the Polish Sejm and Senate during International Parliamentary Union Session in Kigali

On October 10-15, 2022, Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski accompanied the delegation of the Polish Sejm and Senate to the 145th session of the IPU in Kigali and during meetings with the Speaker of Rwanda Senate Dr. Iyamuremye Augustin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta, as well as at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and the School for blind children in Kibeho.
The talks with the Speaker of Rwandan Senate, Iyamuremye Augustin, were devoted to Polish-Rwandan bilateral cooperation and the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The topics of the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, Vincent Biruta, were economic and educational cooperation, as well as the effects of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Ambassador Buzalski also accompanied the delegation, headed by MP Radosław Fogiel and Deputy Speaker of the Senate Gabriela Morawska-Stanecka, during a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where the delegation laid a wreath at the 1994 genocide victims memorial.
The delegation also visited a school for blind children run by the Polish Franciscan Sisters in Kibeho, a renowned school that has been supported by Polish Aid for many years.
