Lecture and exhibition on Polish war exiles in Tanganyika at Jordan University College in Morogoro

Consul of the Republic of Poland Piotr Kruze took part in a debate on the history of World War II at the Jordan University College in Morogoro and presented an exhibition on Polish war exiles in Tanganyika.
On June 17, 2022, at the Jordan University College in Morogoro (JUCo), a scientific discussion was organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the arrival of Polish war exiles to Tanganyika. Rector of JUCo, prof. Bertram Mapunda, in his speech, considered the impact of World War II on the society of Tanganyika. The Consul of the Republic of Poland, Piotr Kruze, introduced the audience to the history of Poles who stayed in Tanganyika in the years 1942-1952 and analyzed the geopolitical situation of Poland at that time. The introduction to the discussion was delivered by Dr. Jacek Górka, OFM, and the historian Venance Rasimu moderated the debate after the lectures and, in conclusion, noted the similar fate of the Polish and Tanzanian nations.
Students and lecturers of JUCo will be able to see the exhibition on Polish war exiles in Tanganyika - prepared by the Center for the Documentation of Deportations, Expulsions and Resettlements of the Pedagogical University in Krakow in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam - by the end of July.
