During her stay in Rwanda, the Minister took part in the ministerial forum of the WD2023 conference, the main topics of which were: digital technology and innovation, gender-based violence and achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls as the goal of SDG5 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Minister Rzeczkowska also met with the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Rwanda, Dr. Uzziel Ndagijimana, pointing to the Polish experience of transformation that we can share with Rwanda, as well as informing about the technological solutions available in Poland in such areas as green energy, which Poland can offer to this country.

The agreement on tax cooperation signed by Poland and Rwanda during the visit aims to improve the efficiency of the Rwanda tax system by reducing the tax gap, combating tax avoidance and evasion practices, and digitizing the tax administration. Its signing was possible thanks to Poland's invitation to Rwanda to participate in the Tax Solidarity Program, an initiative that is part of the activities of the Polish Ministry of Finance to support developing countries in building fairer and more effective tax systems. Poland will share with Rwanda e.g. with their experience and best practices in the field of sealing and digitalization of the tax system.

The Minister also met with the CEO of the Rwanda Development Board and held talks with the EU Ambassador to Rwanda Belén Calvo Uyarra and CEO of the Kigali International Financial Center (KIFC) Nick Barigye. Minister Rzeczkowska also visited a tin plant run by the Polish company Luna Smelter and the Hospice of John Paul II in Kabuga, where she met the Polish Sisters of Angels.

CDA of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kigali, Mr. Tomasz Gajc, attended the meetings of Minister Rzeczkowska.
