Polish and Tanzanian entrepreneurs met in Dar es Salaam

On July 18-19 2024 in Dar es Salaam, an economic mission organized by the Polish National Chamber of Commerce (Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza, KIG) in cooperation with a Polish regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bialystok (Izba Przemysłowo-Handlowa, IPH w Białymstoku) was held upon the invitation by the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (TCCIA).
The Polish delegation included representatives of the Polish National Chamber of Commerce (KIG), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Białystok (IPH w Białymstoku), the Science and Technology Park in Suwałki and Polish companies representing the following sectors: agrotechnical, IT, lighting, tourism and furniture. The event was opened by speeches by the Vice-President of the Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), Mr. Boniface Thomas Ndengo, the Vice-President of KIG Witold Karczewki, the President of IPH in Białystok Jarosław Antychowicz, as well as the Head of the Political, Economic, Consular and Polish Diaspora Unit at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, Katarzyna Sobiecka.
It was not only a great opportunity to establish direct relations between Polish and Tanzanian entrepreneurs thanks to B2B meetings, but also to sign cooperation agreements between KIG and TCCIA as well as IPH in Białystok and its counterpart from Dar es Salaam (Dar es Salaam Chamber of Commerce, DCC ).
The talks on developing cooperation between the Polish city of Białystok and the economic capital of Tanzania, Dar Es Salaam, as well as Polish town called Suwałki, which is located in the extreme north-east corner of Poland and Moshi, a city located in the northern part of Tanzania - in the Kilimanjaro region - have also been initiated. Similarly, the talks on starting a cooperation between the University of Białystok and the University of Dar Es Salaam and the one between the Provincial Hospital in Białystok and the public Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar Es Salaam have begun.
The Polish delegation and the representatives of TCCIA, headed by the latter's President Vicent Bruno Minja, were also hosted at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, where both: the Polish and Tanzanian sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen economic ties between our countries.
