Polish-Tanzanian academic conference in Iringa

The 3rd international conference “Change and Adaptations towards Sustainable Development” has been organized at the University College of Education in Mkwawa on November 2nd and 3rd 2022.

Consul Piotr Kruze was representing the Embassy of Poland in Dar es Salaam at the academic conference in Iringa. Polish and Tanzanian scholars presented the results of their research on sustainable development. Introduction remarks have been delivered by prof. Esther W. Dungumaro, the Principal of the MUCE and by the special guest, Halima Omari Dendego, the Regional Commissioner of Iringa.

Prof. Arkadiusz Żukowski from the University of Warmia and Mazury opened the conference with his lecture on cross-border cooperation and para diplomacy. Scholars from multiple esteemed Polish and Tanzanian institutions including the Jagiellonian University, the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University, the University of Wrocław, the Jordan University College and the Mkwawa University College of Education joined the discussions on education, governance, tourism and environment.

All participants of the conference and the MUCE students had a chance to see the exhibition on Polish World War II exiles in Tanganyika.
