The call for Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, and NAWA - Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, has just been announced! The programme offers possibility of completing second-cycle studies in a full-time mode.

The aim of the Program is to support the socio-economic development of developing countries by raising the level of education and professional qualifications of citizens of these countries. It is a joint initiative of the MFA, MEiN and NAWA implemented as part of Polish development cooperation. Last year, more than 2,000 people applied to participate in the program. candidates.

Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme is addressed to citizens of the following countries: Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Montenegro, Ethiopia, Philippines, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Colombia , Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, South Africa, Senegal, Serbia, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

The program enables students to undertake second-cycle studies at universities supervised by the Minister of Education and Science in the field of engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences and exact and natural sciences. Citizens of European, South Caucasus and Central Asian countries also have the opportunity to study in the field of humanities and social sciences, with the exception of philological majors in the mother tongue from the beneficiary's country of origin. It is also possible to participate in a preparatory course preceding studies in Poland (the Polish-language path of the programme) or a summer course of Polish language and culture (the English-language path of the programme).

Candidates submit applications in Polish or English via the NAWA ICT system: https://programs.nawa.gov.pl/login

by March 31, 2023, 15:00 p.m. (Polish time)

One of the criteria for the substantive evaluation of applications is the possibility for the candidate for a scholarship holder to present recommendations, including a recommendation from a diplomatic and consular post.

The announcement of the recruitment results will take place by the end of July 2023.
