03.05.2024
During the reception organized in the gardens of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski recalled the history of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution and talked about the recent Polish history and Poland's current socio-economic success after joining the European Union on May 1, 2004. He also emphasized our strong support for Ukraine defending itself against Russian aggression and fighting for its choice to join the democratic world.
The speech also included a summary of the good state of Polish-Tanzanian relations, including the visit of President Andrzej Duda to Dar es Salaam in February this year, as well as the implementation of joint projects, including development ones.
The gala reception with traditional Polish cuisine gathered numerous guests, including Tanzanian government circles, the diplomatic corps, the Polish community and Tanzanian graduates of Polish universities. Ambassador Buzalski delivered a speech in Polish, English and the local Swahili language, which was greatly appreciated by the invited guests.
The celebration was also an opportunity to present to the audience an exhibition of development projects implemented as part of Polish aid in Tanzania and to listen to Polish musicians: saxophonist Cezariusz Gadzina and pianist Anna Ciborowska, who played, among others, works by Frederic Chopin and Krzysztof Komeda.
