On the first day of the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries (AGRIFISH) Council in Luxembourg, the Ministers discussed important matters related to agriculture. The Polish delegation was headed by Undersecretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra.

The purpose of today’s meeting of Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik with beef importers from Japan and Hong Kong was to provide the importers with detailed information on the beef sector in Poland. The Japanese entrepreneurs are staying in Poland as part of the promotion programme of the European Union intended to support European entrepreneurs in entering into business relationships with partners from Japan and Hong Kong.

“These are important matters for our countries, but also for Europe as a whole,” Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who was accompanied by Undersecretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra, said during the talks with the Ministers of Agriculture of Lithuania and Ukraine.

Today, the Conference of the Ministers of the Environment, Maritime Economy, Agriculture and Fisheries of Baltic Sea Member States was held in Palanaga, Lithuania. Poland was represented by Undersecretary of State Krzysztof Ciecióra.

Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik participated in the meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Visegrad Group in Znojmo in the Czech Republic. Mr. Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, also participated remotely in the debate.

The cooperation of the states in the fields of agriculture and food security was the topic of today’s talks between Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Mr. Mohamed AlHarbi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Poland. The Ambassador of the UAE to Poland was accompanied by the representatives of the company LuLu Group International headed by its Chairman, Mr. Yusuff Ali. Mr. Jakub Sławek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the UAE, and Mr. Jan Białkowski, Deputy Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture, also participated in the meeting.

Monday’s meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries (AGRIFISH) Council in Brussels addressed important issues related to agriculture and fisheries. The Polish delegation was headed by Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Today’s meeting between Mr. Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Mr. Mark Brzezinski, U.S. Ambassador, mainly concerned the actions to improve the transit of Ukrainian agri-food products through Poland’s territory. The Minister was accompanied by Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik.

Minister Robert Telus held talks with Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Alexander Iotzev on the sidelines of the Economic Forum in Karpacz. They addressed further joint action by the five frontline countries against excessive imports of agri-food products from Ukraine.

Today, Secretary of State Ryszard Bartosik met with representatives of the Vietnamese phytosanitary services.
