Calls for increased co-financing in one of the Program areas have ended
13.02.2023
The process of evaluating applications and annexing contracts is in progress
Support for all Programme Beneficiaries
The Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme decided to increase the co-financing of projects implemented under the Climate area. It is a response to a significant increase in prices caused by the macroeconomic situation in the region.
Beneficiaries of all calls for proposals under the Programme may apply for an increase in co-financing. The rules for granting an increase were defined by the Cooperation Committee after consultation with the FMO. The final decision on granting additional funds is made by the Program Operator - the Minister of Climate and Environment on the basis of the assessment carried out by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and after consulting the Cooperation Committee.
Acceptance of applications in energy area has been completed
In the energy area, which is one of the three areas of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, all calls for increases have already been completed.
In the calls for proposals for the Development of high-efficiency cogeneration and Construction/modernization of municipal heating systems, a total of 6 applications for increased co-financing were submitted. 5 of them passed the assessment and received a positive opinion of the Cooperation Committee. As a consequence, the Operator decided to increase the co-financing for 5 projects.
In case of the call for proposals for the Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings, over 90% of Beneficiaries decided to take advantage of the possibility of obtaining an additional grant. All submitted applications were assessed according to specific criteria and received a positive opinion of the Cooperation Committee, which resulted in the decision of the Minister of Climate and Environment to increase the co-financing.
Currently, the process of annexing 24 co-financing agreements in this area is in progress.
Additional funds are also available in calls for proposals for Increasing the efficiency of energy production in existing small hydropower plants (up to 2 MW) and Construction of heat sources using geothermal energy (deep geothermal energy). Two beneficiaries of the call for hydro power plants took advantage of this opportunity. The assessment process at the NFEPWM is underway.
Recruitment for additional funding is underway
Programme beneficiaries implementing projects in other areas may apply for an increase in co-financing until the following dates:
- February 13, 2023 in the Climate area;
