National Energy and Climate Plan
Poland’s National Energy and Climate Plan for the years 2021-2030 (NECP) was submitted to the European Commission on December 30, 2019. The NECP PL consists of three parts - a strategic one and two analytical attachments. The full version is available in Polish, please find below the summary in English. Poland is currently working on the update of the NECP. Initial version was sent to the European Commision on March 1, 2024. The initial draft is available in Polish, and the English version provided by automatic translation tool is available on the European Comission’s website about NECPs.
The updated draft of the NECP, including a new ambitious scenario and addtional attachments has been sent for public consultion on October 2024. The full version is available in Polish, please find below the Summary in English.
The NECP PL and its update have been developed in fulfilment of the obligation set out in Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on the Governance of the Energy Union and Climate Action […].
NECP presents the objectives, targets, policies and measures in five dimensions of the Energy Union:
- decarbonisation
- energy efficiency
- energy security
- internal energy market
- research, innovation and competitiveness.
