On April took place the closing conference of the project entitled Green city corridors - climatic awakening in Konin, implemented by the City of Konin together with three partners: the Polish Green Roofs Association, the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and the Norwegian Green Infrastructure Association.

The main adaptation and mitigation measures implemented in the project:

  • educational activities.

During the event discussed completed green and blue infrastructure investments and their ecological value in the context of climate change mitigation and adaptation processes. Ways of activating local communities to take action to mitigate or counteract the effects of climate change; the construction of green roofs on public buildings as a Norwegian way of using green infrastructure to combat climate change were presented (link to presentation). Participants at the event had the opportunity to learn about the design and construction techniques for green roofs, rain gardens and other small-scale retention solutions. Current global trends in green-blue infrastructure were also discussed.
