15.04.2024
Summary of the event
On 11 April took place the closing conference of the project entitled ‘Investments in green and blue infrastructure in Grodzisk Mazowiecki’.
During the event, Katarzyna Marcinkowska, project team leader, presented the implemented adaptation and mitigation measures for the urban space of Grodzisk Mazowiecki, which allow the city to better respond to climate change. These measures include revitalisation activities such as replacing pavement with permeable pavement, planting with irrigation systems, strengthening biodiversity by creating flower meadows and places for insects to grow. In addition, they highlighted in particular the role of educational activities in the project.
The event was also an opportunity for project partner INTBAU Norway to share best practices in green-blue infrastructure that have been applied in Norway. There were also two lectures entitled 'Permaculture gardens: how about in Grodzisk schools?' and 'Flower meadows in urban space'.
