Comprehensive improvement of the energy efficiency of the six primary school buildings in the Maków Podhalański

Environment Energy and Climate Change Programme MF EOG #ENERGY

The Minister of Climate and Environment, supported by the national Fund for Environmental protection and Water management (NFEP&WM), as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs of the conclusion of the agreement on co-financing Comprehensive improvement of the energy efficiency of the six primary school buildings in the Maków Podhalański project.

The project is conducted by the Maków Podhalański Commune.

About the project

The project obtain co-financing in the call for proposals Improved energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme in the area of Improving energy efficiency and energy security.

The project is co-financed in 70% by the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (of which 85% comes from the EEA Financial Mechanism and 15% from the national budget) and the NFOŚ loan program.

The total cost of the project is EUR 1,6 million, of which the maximum amount of co-financing is over EUR 1 million.

These funds will be allocated to:

- comprehensive improvement of energy efficiency of 6 primary schools in the Maków Podhalański commune and

- information and education activities aimed at both children using these buildings and the entire local community.

Benefits for students using educational services provided in schools, employees of institutions, parents, local people, tourists:

- primary and final energy consumption will decrease,

- operating costs will decrease,

- the comfort of using the facilities will increase and air quality will improve.

Implementation period

The agreement for the project's co-financing was signed on 21st January 2022 and the planned completion date is 30th April 2024.
