The call for increased funding in two areas of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, i.e. Environment and Climate Change areas, has ended. The applications submitted by the Beneficiaries were assessed according to the criteria for the allocation of additional funds set out by the Cooperation Committee and the Financial Mechanism Office in Brussels (FMO). Subsequently, the increase in funding was voted on by the Cooperation Committee, which welcomed the proposed changes.

Due to the fact that the funds available in the given calls for proposals allowed for additional funding were insufficient, it was necessary to reallocate savings from the calls in which they occurred. After the reallocation, followed by the Committee's recommendations, the Programme Operator was in position to allocate additional funds to all positively evaluated projects in the area of Environment and Climate Change. This decision allows to start the process of annexing grant agreements to increase the amount of funding for projects.

Support for all Programme Beneficiaries

The above-mentioned actions are taken as the result PO's decision in 2022 to allow an increase in the co-financing for all projects implemented in Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme the under the EEA Grants due to the significant price increase caused by the macroeconomic situation in the region.
