Deep thermal modernization of school buildings in the Miechów and Proszowice Commune
The Minister of Climate and Environment with the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme informs of the conclusion of an agreement for co-financing Deep thermal modernization of school buildings in the Miechów and Proszowice Commune project.
The beneficiary of the project is the Miechów Commune.
About the project
The project received funding in the call for proposals Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program, in the area of Renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security.
It is financed in 70% from the funds of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the state budget.
The total cost of the project is PLN 4,227,120.80 (EUR 979,429.74), and the grant awarded is PLN 2,789,988.95 (EUR 646,444.30).
The main objective of the project “Deep thermal modernization of school buildings in the Miechów and Proszowice Commune” is to improve the energy efficiency of school buildings in communes.
The investment includes thermal modernization works aimed at reducing the demand for thermal energy in buildings, i.e. insulation of external and foundation walls and flat roofs replacement of door and window joinery, modernization of the central heating installation as well as PV installations in public utility facilities, i.e. schools covered by the project in the Miechów and Proszowice communes.
In the Commune and City of Miechów, the thermomodernization will cover the Educational Complex on the Sikorskiego estate (Primary School No. 2). In the Proszowice Commune, the modernization will cover the Primary School with Integration Departments in Szczytniki.
Partnership
The project partner is NORCE - Norwegian Research Center AS (Norway). The aim of the partnership is to prepare and implement the project in question using the knowledge and experience of the Norwegian partner.
Implementation period
The contract for co-financing the project was concluded on January 25, 2022, and the planned completion date is April 30, 2024.
