- Our goal is to abandon completely the import of Russian fuel for all EU countries, in line with the EU REPowerEU target.
Poland will make the partnership between the European Union and Ukraine a priority during our EU Presidency starting on 1 January 2025. We will continue to work for progress in the accession talks of Ukraine, particularly in the energy sector. We are committed to achieving progress towards the EU's REPowerEU target of complete abandoning of the import of Russian fuel into the European Union. The war has been continuing for 2.5 years - it's high time to cut these energy links and the remaining dependencies on Russia
