The Minister of Climate and Environment, supported by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEP&WM), as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs of the conclusion of the agreement on co-financing Eagerly against climate changes – green-blue infrastructure in Czechowice-Dziedzice commune project.

About the project
The project obtained co-financing in the call for proposals: The implementation of green and blue infrastructure in cities under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, in the area of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Czechowice-Dziedzice and the eligible costs of EUR 2.7 M (approx. PLN 11,6 M) are financed 85% from the EEA Grants.
The aim of the project is to mitigate climate change and reduce vulnerability to climate change in the Czechowice-Dziedzice municipality. This goal will be achieved through the implementation of a number of activities in the field of green-blue infrastructure and educational and informational activities. There will be created retention tanks, rain gardens, green plant dumps, green bus shelters and a bike path. An element of the project is an extensive awareness-raising campaign that will include the residents of the Czechowice-Dziedzice Municipality.
Partnership
The project will be implemented in partnership with an association INTBAU Norway.
Implementation period
The agreement for the funding was signed in November 2021, and the completion date of the project is April 2024.
