Find our project in your area – new website

Check out the effects and benefits of projects in the Climate Programme and get inspired to take climate action

In the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, we implement projects selected in 11 open calls. The activities planned in them overlap with three important areas: climate, energy and environment. We have over 100 projects underway across the country. Some of them are nationwide, while others have a supra-regional or regional scope. There are also small projects whose implementation contributes to improving air quality and the functioning of local communities.

New subpage on our website

We invite you to browse the projects on a new subpage called Find our project in your area. We have sorted them by voivodships. When you click on a voivodeship, you will see a list of towns or areas where project activities are carried out. Perhaps some of the activities will inspire you to start new pro-environmental initiatives?

The subpage is in Polish, but you can find all ongoing projects in our base in our English-version page divided into three dedicated areas.

What can you find in our projects?

Climate change mitigation and vulnerability reduction activities

With support from the Norwegian and EEA Grants, we are establishing green-blue infrastructure solutions in cities and towns (e.g. we are building cycle paths, retention systems, green walls and bus stops, rain gardens, revitalising backyards, ponds and parks). Together with the school communities, we build elements of green-blue infrastructure in their schools. We also support activities related to the reduction of raw material consumption and waste production (CE). The above-mentioned activities share the common goal of mitigating climate change and reducing vulnerability to climate change.

Renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy security activities

An important element of the Programme is the thermal modernisation of schools. Support from the programme's funds was given to projects which not only modernise school buildings, but also take measures to reduce the negative impact of buildings on the environment, reduce electricity and heating bills, and improve the comfort of the local community.

The Programme also supports the expansion of district heating systems, co-generation, the modernisation of small hydroelectric power plants, and activities related to geothermal energy.

Environmental and ecosystem protection activities

In the environmental area, we support among others, the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems, endangered bird species, and wetland the restoration of natural wetland habitats. We teach communities about the importance of urban greenery and water in the contemporary world.

Education

An important element of every project funded by the Environment, Energy and Climate Programme is the diverse educational activities designed for all age groups.
