The Minister of Climate and Environment, supported by the national Fund for Environmental protection and Water management (NFEP&WM), as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs of the conclusion of the agreement on co-financing Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings belonging to Foundation for International Education and Socio-educational Association of Managers project.

The project is conducted by the Fundacja Edukacji Międzynarodowej.

About the project

The project obtain co-financing in the call for proposals Improved energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme in the area of Improving energy efficiency and energy security.

The project is co-financed in 70% by the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (of which 85% comes from the EEA Financial Mechanism and 15% from the national budget) and the NFOŚ loan program.

The total cost of the project is EUR 0,9 million, of which the maximum amount of co-financing is over EUR 0,6 million.

Two school buildings, where educational activities are carried out need thermal modernization. The technical condition of one building is bad, secon can by more energy efficienc.

The project implementation will contribute to the implementation of assumptions set out in the EU strategic documents. The main tasks planned for the implementation of the project: improving energy efficiency in two school buildings, educational and information activities, promotional activities.

The scope of construction works and applied technologies results from the developed energy audits.

The main goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency in school buildings through deep thermal modernization which will lead to reduce energy consumption and reduce or avoid CO2 emissions.

Benefits

Students using educational services provided in schools, employees of institutions, parents, local people, tourists. The comfort of using the facilities will increase and air quality will improve.

Implementation period

The agreement for the project's co-financing was signed on 24th March 2022 and the planned completion date is 30th June 2023.
