The Minister of Climate and Environment with the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme informs of the conclusion of an agreement for co-financing “Improving energy efficiency in school buildings in the Police Poviat” project.
The beneficiary of the project is the Police District.
About the project
The project received funding in the call for proposals Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, in the area of Renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security.
It is financed in 70% from the funds of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the state budget.
The total cost of the project is PLN 9,278,996.95 (EUR 2,149,956.43), and the grant awarded is PLN 5,189,210.56 (EUR 1,202,347.26).
The aim of the project is to improve energy efficiency in school buildings in the Police District by supporting comprehensive investment activities consisting of deep thermal modernization and undertaken to bring school buildings to the "passive" or "almost zero-emission" energy standard.
The project includes works related to the modernization of the central heating system consisting of the replacement of radiators with instrumentation, installation of BMS modules, modernization of hot utility water installation with the necessary equipment and accessories, insulation of the external walls of the building and ceilings, flat roofs and roofs, installation of mechanical ventilation, replacement of external doors and windows with new ones, replacement of lighting with motion sensors and installation of photovoltaic panels.

• the building of the School Complex of Ignacy Łukasiewicz in Police;
• building of a sports hall in the Youth Care Center in Trzebież.
Project effects
The effects of thermal modernization works will be a reduction in CO2 emissions, a reduction in EP consumption, an increase in the share of RES and an increase in public awareness of energy efficiency while maintaining the highest energy and cost efficiency.
Events
On April 22, 2022, an online conference was held to symbolically open the project entitled “Improving energy efficiency in school buildings in the Police…”. During the conference, the main assumptions and schemes for improving energy efficiency in buildings were presented. For more information about the opening conference, please visit the Police Poviat website and the Police Television YouTube channel.
