Improving the energy efficiency of the building of the School and Kindergarten Complex in Kozarzewo

Environment Energy and Climate Change Programme MF EOG #ENERGY

The Minister of Climate and Environment, supported by the national Fund for Environmental protection and Water management (NFEP&WM), as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs of the conclusion of the agreement on co-financing Improving the energy efficiency of the building of the School and Kindergarten Complex in Kozarzewo project.

The project is conducted by the Kazimierz Biskupi Commune.

About the project

The project obtain co-financing in the call for proposals Improved energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme in the area of Improving energy efficiency and energy security.

The project is co-financed in 70% by the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (of which 85% comes from the EEA Financial Mechanism and 15% from the national budget).

The total cost of the project is EUR 0,8 million, of which the maximum amount of co-financing is over EUR 0,5 million.

The main goal of the project Improving energy efficiency and energy security is to achieve a high energy standard building of the School and Kindergarten Complex in Kozarzewo. The realization of this project is essential due to:

- high energy consumption of this building leading to high CO2 and harmful substances emission,

- high maintenance cost,

- low social awareness in terms of energy efficiency and environment protection.

The indicated problems will be solved by a complex thermal modernization of the building, replacement of lighting with energy-saving and installation of renewable energy sources.

Those activities will be accompanied by an in-depth campaign that would raise the audience awareness regarding energy efficiency, renewable resources and Donor States aid as well as positive outcomes of using EEA and Norwegian funds.

The main objectives of this project are: improvement of energy efficiency of school building, decrease of use of primary energy, CO2 emission reduction, improvement of air quality, increase of OZE use.

Direct target group: students and school staff. Indirect target group: students’ parents, inhabitants of the commune and poviat, local government authorities.

Partnership

The project is conducted with the Norwegian partner Vista Analyse AS (Norway). Value-added of Partner’s involvement is based on their participation in all events (conferences) promoting the project. Partner will prepare and present themed content related to project’s goals.

Partner will share their expertise and will be responsible for on-sight visits to verify the quality of performed work along with analytical process of the project and its outcomes.

Implementation period

The agreement for the project's co-financing was signed on 12th January 2022 and the planned completion date is April 2024.
