30.08.2019
During today’s press conference, Ministers of Environment and Energy – Henryk Kowalczyk and Krzysztof Tchórzewski – announced that the call for applications for subsidies for photovoltaic installations in Poland under the “My Electricity” programme is now open.
“My Electricity” is a new programme developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, supporting the development of renewable energy sources in Poland, financed from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW). The programme was announced on 23 July 2019 by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a joint conference with Ministers of Environment and Energy.
“By implementing the “My Electricity” programme, we want to increase the availability of prosumer solutions in households, particularly in those located in rural areas. To this end, we are allocating 1 billion PLN from the resources of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management,” said Minister of Environment Henryk Kowalczyk.
The main objective of the programme is to increase the production of energy from photovoltaic micro-sources. The subsidy covers up to 50% of the costs of building a photovoltaic installation with the installed power ranging from 2 to 10 kW, up to 5000 PLN.
“My Electricity” is another programme offered by the government, which enables Poles to improve the energy efficiency of their households, which will translate not only into financial savings, but also into benefits for the environment” said Minister of Environment.
“I believe that the implementation of “My Electricity” programme will be a strong stimulus for further development of distributed energy systems and will significantly contribute to meeting the international commitments of our country in the field of renewable energy sources,” Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski added.
During the press conference, the Ministers of Environment and Energy signed a regulation regarding the types of programmes and projects to be carried out under the National Green Investment System, which concludes the legislative process concerning the “My Electricity” programme. Its launch on 31 August 2019 will open a call for applications, which will be managed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
