03.02.2022Polish-Czech dispute over the Turów mine has endedThe Polish-Czech negotiations concerning the Turów Mine turned out to be successful. On 3 February 2022, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, accompanied by the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, and the Czech Prime Minister, Petr Fiala, signed an agreement definitively ending the dispute with our southern neighbours. According to the provisions of the agreement, the Czech complaint will be withdrawn from the CJEU.

24.01.2022New part of the „Clean Air” programme – support of up to PLN 69 thousandThe third part of the „Clean Air” programme with the highest co-financing of up to PLN 69 thousand with the monthly income not exceeding PLN 900 or PLN 1,260 per capita (applies to multi-person and single-person households, respectively), and for people with an established right to receive an allowance, as well as amendments to the current programme to make it even easier to receive subsidies – these are the next milestones in the fight against smog. The Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, during a visit to Bieruń in Silesia announced that the new rules in the „Clean Air” programme will come into force as from 25 January 2022.

18.01.2022Polish-Netherlandish talks on energy, climate and environmentOn 17 January 2022, Minister Anna Moskwa met with Daphne Bergsma, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Poland. The goal of the meeting was the exchange of views on, among others, energy and climate transformation, priorities in the Fit for 55 negotiations, the Social Climate Fund, and the potential for cooperation between Poland and the Netherlands in the field of renewable energy sources.

18.01.2022Continuation of Polish-Czech talks on the Turów lignite mineOn 18 January 2022, Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, met with Anna Hubáčková, Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic, to talk about the Turów lignite mine. The meeting, which was the first official one after the changes in the Czech government, is a continuation of the Polish-Czech talks on the mine in Turów. The Polish side hopes that this dispute will soon be resolved.
