27.09.2021The Ministry of Climate and Environment develops the solutions to increase the RES share in the national system, among others in the scope of biomethane and energy clustersWorks on the draft “revision the Act on amending the act on renewable energy sources and certain other acts” in the Ministry of Climate and Environments are under way. The purpose of the new solutions is primarily to increase the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the national energy consumption,. They also aim at further promotion of the energy sector development following the ambitions to reduce emissions in the economy and meet the international obligations.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the event is organised in the hybrid formula. The Head of the Polish delegation participated in the meeting remotely.

The new Chief Inspector was nominated on 17 September.

17.09.2021Warsaw to host the third P-TECC SummitThe third meetings of the ministers of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) will be held on 22 and 23 September in Warsaw. More than 100 participants of the event will discuss the priority issues in the area of energy policy, technological innovations, their implementation and investments.

09.09.2021The letter of intent for the establishment of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley signed“Establishment of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley will enable innovative industrial undertakings and strategic investment projects based on hydrogen, in close cooperation with the business and scientific environment” – said the Minister of Climate and Environment Michał Kurtyka when signing the “Letter of intent for the establishment of the Lower Silesian Hydrogen Valley”. The event, that took place on 9 September 2021 in Karpacz, was also attended by the President of the Council of Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment Ireneusz Zyska and the representatives of the industry.

We may also monitor the protected species” – said Vice-Minister of Climate and Environment, Edward Siarka during the CYBERSEC Forum in Krynica-Zdrój. This is one of the most influential conferences in Europe, with a mission to strengthen and emphasize the socio-economic capacity of inter-regional cooperation. The Vice-Minister actively attended the panel on the latest technologies in forest management.
