Paulina Hennig-Kloska new minister for climate and environment

President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda on 13 December 2023 took the oath of office from the new Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig-Kloska.

Paulina Hennig-Kloska is a political science graduate. She completed her bachelor's degree at Paweł Włodkowic University in Płock in 1999 and then obtained her master's degree at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 2001. She also completed postgraduate studies in financial analysis and controlling at the Poznań University of Economics in 2005.

She held managerial positions in the banking industry for more than a dozen years, working, among others, as a bank branch director and business centre director.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 8th, 9th and 10th terms. During her work in the Sejm, she initiated the establishment of the Parliamentary Group for the Protection of the Wielkopolskie Lake District. In addition, in the 9th Sejm, she was a member of the Health Committee, the Public Accounts Committee and the Energy, Climate and National Assets Committee.
