Strong in energy – improvement of energetic efficiency and the use of renewable energy in schools of the Krasnystaw district

The Minister of Climate and Environment, supported by the national Fund for Environmental protection and Water management (NFEP&WM), as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs of the conclusion of the agreement on co-financing Strong in energy – improvement of energetic efficiency and the use of renewable energy in schools of the Krasnystaw district.project.
The project is conducted by the Krasnystaw district.
About the project
The project obtain co-financing in the call for proposals Improved energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme in the area of Improving energy efficiency and energy security.
The project is co-financed in 70% by the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (of which 85% comes from the EEA Financial Mechanism and 15% from the national budget) and the NFOŚ loan program.
The total cost of the project is EUR 1,1 million, of which the maximum amount of co-financing is over EUR 780 thousand.
The project provides for the full thermal modernization of five school buildings combined with the replacement of the heat source with a heat pump - air-water and the entire heating system. In addition, we have equipped the facilities with a photovoltaic installation adapted to the buildings and a new electrical installation that meets the criteria of Polish and European standards.
We combined the investment activities with an extensive information campaign and educational activities.
The project will result in 5 schools taking actions increasing energy efficiency. The informational and educational campaigns will raise awareness among students and residents about ecology.
The target group of our project are teachers, students from secondary schools and residents of the Krasnystaw district.
Implementation period
The agreement for the project's co-financing was signed on 12th December 2021 and the planned completion date is 30th April 2024.
