Study visit in Oslo

From the 20th to the 22nd of June 2023, study visit was held in Oslo, organised by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, which is the Donor Programme Partner of The Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme.

The event was attended by experts from the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as well as the representative of the Norwegian Environment Agency.

 

The visit covered the following issues:

 

Hydrogen production and research. Visit to IFE (Institute for Energy Technology) Hynor fuel cell and hydrogen technology test centre

  • Sorption enhanced reformer (SER) pilot plant and Ammonia cracking 
  • PEM Water electrolysis (PEMEL) system laboratory  
  • PEM Fuel Cell (PEMFC) system laboratory  

 

Waste incineration, energy production and CCS in the Klemetsrud

  • energy recovery plant,
  • cogeneration, and incineration plant for waste with plans for CCS,
  • the method of transporting carbon dioxide to the place of its storage.

 

Climate adaptation, Blue-green infrastructure shown on the example of the Hovinbekken reopened stream.

 

An example of an Energy efficient building, Manglerud bad og aktivitetshus the new bath/swimming pool and activity centre.

 

Green transition plans on the local level “Climate Strategy for Oslo towards 2030” presented by the Department of Climate in the Municipality of Oslo

 

The aim of the participation was to establish important contacts and broaden the knowledge through the Norwegian experience.
