Environment Energy and Climate Change Programme MF EOG #Environment

The Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme decided to increase the co-financing of implemented projects due to a significant increase in prices caused by the macroeconomic situation in the region.

Beneficiaries of all calls for proposals under the Programme were encouraged to apply for an increase in co-financing. The rules for granting an increase were defined by the Cooperation Committee after consultation with the FMO. In accordance with the adopted rules, the final decision on granting additional funds is made by the Program Operator - the Minister of Climate and Environment on the basis of the assessment carried out by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEP&WM) and after consulting the Cooperation Committee.

Environment and Ecosystems Outcome:

The call for applications for increased funding ran from 16 January to 20 February 2023. Under Environment area, 14 applications were submitted for increased co-financing in the total amount of € 1 mln, therefore if all Beneficiaries receive additional funding, there will be a saving of approx. € 0.6 mln.

  • Under Call 2.1 Ecosystems, 4 out of 10 Beneficiaries applied. The total amount of additional funding requested is € 0.7 mln.
  • Under Call 2.2 Invasive alien species, 1 out of 5 Beneficiaries submitted an application. The total amount of additional funding requested is around € 40,000.
  • Under Call 2.4 SGS, 9 out of 14 Beneficiaries applied. The total amount of additional funding requested is € 240,000.

 The assessment of the applications is currently underway at the NFEP&WM.
